Massachusetts Nursing Jobs
You'll be surprised how much Massachusetts has to offer travel nursing in so small a state - great beaches, outdoor fun, fresh-caught seafood, major-league sports, and a wealth of cultural activities. Massachusetts' parks, mountains, and rivers offer wide-open spaces and a chance to hike, bike, canoe, or rocket through whitewater rapids on a raft. Re-live the excitement and drama of America's past with their living history museums and walking trails that transport you back in time. There's no better way to experience the cosmopolitan flavor of Boston than by donning your favorite walking shoes or hopping on a "T" trolley. Massachusetts' capital successfully combines big-city amenities with a friendly, small-town atmosphere. Cross over the Charles River and you're in Cambridge, a vibrant mix of ethnic cultures, students, scholars, and visitors from around the world. The city is home to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University, the nation's oldest university. The 30 miles of rocky coastline north of Boston are punctuated with long sandy beaches, rugged fishing ports, and sparkling sailing harbors. Nautical lore and the ghosts of witches past offer fascinating glimpses into the region's rich history. Stroll down the gas-lit cobblestone streets of New Bedford's historic district and it's not hard to imagine the port in its heyday as the hard-driving whaling capital of the world. Plymouth Rock, an enduring symbol of the Pilgrim's arrival in the New World, is a natural starting point for a visit to Plymouth, "America's Hometown." The pilgrims' early days in the New World are vividly re-created at Plimoth Plantation. It doesn't take long to discover why Cape Cod is known as Massachusetts' year-round playground. Miles of warm-water beaches, fresh-caught seafood, hiking and biking trails, and challenging golf courses are throughout the area. New England's largest island has soft sandy beaches, pine forests, rolling hills and moors, and six delightful towns. Step off the ferry or the plane and you're in another world. There is a lot to explore on foot or by bicycle: unspoiled beaches and solitary lighthouses, peaceful byways and lanes, historic mansions, and open-air farmers' stands on Nantucket Island. Travel to the heart of the state to discover a region that offers rolling hills and meadows, sophisticated cultural attractions, and the state's second largest city, Worcester. Greater Springfield boasts two spectacular family favorites - Six Flags New England delivers thrills and chills; the Basketball Hall of Fame celebrates the glory of the game that was invented in Massachusetts. North along the Connecticut River are rich farmland and magnificent scenery. Stop by any of the friendly hilltowns to find old-time general stores, antique shops, and cozy B&Bs. Travel the back roads of the northwest corner of Massachusetts to find charming villages, swimming holes, and covered bridges.
