Louisiana Nursing Jobs
Louisiana travel nursing makes your heart pound and your senses tingle. The celebration of Mardi Gras symbolizes the intensity of spirit of Louisiana - parades, music, parties, street dances, and costumes. Although New Orleans is world-renowned for its Mardi Gras extravaganza, other towns and cities throughout the state host their own Mardi Gras celebrations. The excitement of the event is contagious all over. It's not just the Carnival that creates excitement. The rich heritage of Creole, Cajun, and French, keeps Louisiana spiced up with foods like gumbo, andouille, etouffees, sauce piquantes, cayenne pepper, Tabasco, and crawfish. The senses tingle and feet keep tapping with the sounds of jazz and blues and zydeco. Louisiana's exciting attractions are as diverse as their many cultures. The history of Louisiana truly comes to life in Plantation Country, located in the Southeastern region of the state. Wind your way across the Atchafalaya Basin, through the rolling hills of St. Francisville, and along the Great River Road that begins just west of New Orleans. Throughout this area there are plantations that offer tours of the property, gardens, and/or homes. Crossroads aptly gets its name by being right in the center of the state, thus giving travelers a taste of all things Louisiana -- not the least of which is their famous Southern Hospitality. Visit Natchitoches, the inspiration for the movie and play Steel Magnolias, where the women had big hair and even bigger hearts. Home to the author, Robert Harling, it is also home to some of the South’s most charming bed and breakfast inns and antique shops. In Northern Louisiana thick, piney woods that flourish with wildlife and lush rolling hills are prominent. Clear, sparkling lakes are abundant with bass and trout. Sportsman's Paradise is heaven for birdwatchers, nature photographers, campers, and anyone who has ever pulled a 16 pound bass out of Caney Lake. From casinos and nightlife, to plantations and museums, to restaurants, music venues, and marinas there is a lot to do in Louisiana.
